I was going for the MDX but was alittle disappointed by the little or no exterior changes they did for 2011. Now I’m leaning towards a Audi Q7 or Q5. Which vehicles would you choose is these were the choices?

2010 Acura TL – Midsize Luxury Sports Car

2010 Acura TL is a midsize luxury sports car which comes with unusual styling, smart four-wheel drive system, surround sound system, spacious cabin, high end features and excellent crash test scores. The new TL model features a six-speed automatic transmission which is available in all SH-AWD models. It is also known as a luxury sports car which comes with lot of high end features, quite reliable and can easily accommodate adult sized passengers. The new TL does not come with any chunky rear end and beveled nose like the previous model, but features new four-wheel drive system, more power and spacious interior room.

 

It is good to see that Acura added a new system called Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive and the engine that generates 305 horsepower. It comes with road-holding grip as well which you cannot find on two-wheel drive sports sedans. Those who are looking for traditional six-speed automatic transmission, 2010 Acura TL are the best choice. The TL is a competitive choice in entry level sedan which also includes other models like Mercedes Benz C-Class, Audi A4, Hyundai Genesis, Cadillac CTS, BMW 3 Series and Infiniti G37.

 

The 2010 Acura TL is a midsize luxury sports car which is available in sporty SH-AWD or base trim levels. The base model comes with equipments like 17-inch alloy wheels, driver memory functions, leather upholstery, two zone automatic climate control, steering-wheel-mounted audio, heated side mirrors, telescoping and tilt steering wheel, xenon headlights, heated power front seats, a sunroof, rear ventilation controls, trip and phone computer controls, foglights, streaming Bluetooth audio, Bluetooth phone connectivity, USB port, auxiliary input jack for audio, satellite radio and in-dash six-CD changer with eight-speaker stereo system.

 

The SH-AWD trim level comes with additional features like more aggressively bolstered front seats, four-wheel drive system, upgraded metallic trim, hill start assist, more powerful engine, upgraded brakes and 18-inch alloy wheels. It comes with optional Technology Package which includes real time weather forecasts, a hard-drive-based navigation system with voice recognition, a rear spoiler, rearview camera, real-time traffic, keyless ignition, a solar-sensing and GPS-linked adaptive climate control system, premium leather upholstery, Panasonic/ELS with 12.7GB of digital music storage with ten speaker surround-sound system. The 19-inch alloy wheels with high-performance summer tires are optional on base trim level, but standard on SH-AWD models.

 

The base trim level in 2010 Acura TL comes with 3.5 liter V6 engine that generates 254 pound feet of torque and 280 horsepower. The SH-AWD trim level comes with 3.7 liter V6 engine which is good for 273 pound feet of torque and 305 horsepower. Both models feature a four-wheel drive system that has the capability to send power to individual wheels for maximizing grip and traction in all weather conditions. Both models come with standard five-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, while six-speed automatic transmission is available in SH-AWD trim level with Technology Package. The base and SH-AWD models go from 0 to 60 in the time range of 6.7 seconds and the estimated fuel economy is 26mpg highway, 18mpg city and 21mpg combined, while for SH-AWD is one gallon less.

 

The 2010 Acura TL comes with standard safety features like traction and stability control, active front restraints, antilock disc brakes with brake assist, full length side curtain airbags and front seat side airbags. The TL got five star rating in government testing for side and frontal impact protection of passengers. The handling characteristics of all TL models are almost identical and this TL model will definitely satisfy those customers who are looking for luxury sports car.
