I’m looking at buying a new 2010 Honda Accord or 2012 Ford Fusion to replace my 1999 Toyota Camry.
Both dealers told me all they could offer me was $500 in trade in. This sounds like a major rip off.
The interior of the car is in excellant condition and the heating, air conditioning and radio works.
The car is a 4 cylinder with 117,000 miles on it.
The car has the check engine light on. In my state the car will not pass smog with the check engine light on. This repair is called the charcoal canister which would cost $500 to replace and the check engine light would be off.
The back bumper of the car is a little scratched on the right.
Car sales people tell me that if I sell it on my own I will only get $1000 or maybe $800.
My independant mechanic seems to think I could get $2500 if I sell it on my own without fixing the charcoal canister.
The sales people at both new car dealers talk to me like I’m stupid and I’m wrong.
I have a 2009 camry se and im thinking about trading it in for a 2010 camry se.should i do this or just wait for the 2012 camry. And what would be the price range for the 2012 camry?
I know the car is going to be in production but some pictures and some information about it would help.
My 2002 Corolla S has 94k miles on it and runs GREAT. It has been a wonderful car. I’ve done the regular maintenance (last one just 3 months ago) and have had no problems. I love this car.
But I know that at some point it will begin to give me problems. When?? How long should I expect it to last without major repairs? I put about 1400 miles/month on it.
The 0% and the great deals on Toyotas right now have me looking at getting a Camry. I have USAA and with the discount, I would get a 2011 Camry LE with leather seats (that fabric is horrible) for about $21,500.
They’re offering $4,800 for my trade-in on the Corolla, which seems to be a good offer, from the research I’ve done. The car runs perfectly and has new brake shoes and relatively new tires but does have quite a few small rust spots on the hood, one on the roof, and one on a door. Probably because it’s been bathed maybe 5 times in its life.
After the trade-in, tax, etc., are figured in, the new Camry will be about $18,000 ($302/month for 60 months). I don’t see the point in putting additional money down, since I won’t have to pay interest. I can afford this payment, although it will mean doing less fun things, like eating out or weekend trips. I can probably pick up more work in the evenings/weekends if I had to, at $30-40/hr (sign language interpreting).
I don’t care whether my car is new or old, I just want something reliable to get me around, so that does not really factor into the decision. The only reason I’m considering buying a car now is because of the deals. If my Corolla starts breaking down in 3-5 years, I’m sure the deals will not be as good… I don’t know that I’ll be earning significantly more money… and I wouldn’t have this nice trade-in offer.
As you can see from the amount of detail I’ve included, I am taking this decision very seriously.
So have at it… good decision or bad decision?
what does A S L mean? it’s an option you get on the CD Player. what exactly does it do to your speaker system?
I want to know if it’s possible to fit rims for a 2010 Camry to a 2011 Camry CE/Base Model. I just bout a 2011 Camry CE/Base Model and I’m thinking of changing the alloy rims to more appealing type of rims. I looked on DiscountTire.com and I tried using the 2011 Toyota options and said it didn’t show a match for the year. So can I use 2010 rims with my 2011 Camry CE/Base model? Or use any rims out right now for my 2011 Camry?
i recently bought a Camry Le. What is the biggest rim size it can fit? will it be able to fit 22”s? and i need suggestions on what type of alarm i should get. i want one that has good security and remote start. also good audio for subwoofers and a deck thanks people and i have a $3,000 limit s or can you give me price estimates for top of the line stuff too
I am currently leasing a 2009 camry le i put $1100 down paying 313.11/mo. I was offered to trade in early and was given a deal for a 2011 Camry XLE fully loaded with leather and navigation for $0 down 289/mo for a v6. I may go with the V4 because of gas reasons… is this a good deal?
Hi all, I have Toyota Camry 2011 4-dr LE. While I was on a road trip recently, the car did something very odd. The vehicle started to cut out and it then stopped. I have to note that it was at a high altitude (somewhere in the Colorado Mountains). After the incident I was able to start up again and the vehicle operated as expected. This is not the problem I wanted to ask about, however I thought I would mention it in case you think it might be related. Here is the problem I have: When coming to a slow stop or driving in the slow traffic, sometimes the vehicle seems to accelerate when the break is released, as if I have pressed the gas pedal. I would expect that once slowed down the Camry will maintain its speed. Other times while my foot is still on the brake pedal (lightly pressing it during a slow down) I would feel as if I have released the brake for a second and the car accelerates (at which time my reflexes kick in and I press the pedal harder). In addition, the transmission seems to hesitate on up shift. I have noticed multiple times that the transmission does not shift on-time and I could feel it when I drive slower. So here is my question: Does any 2011 Camry owner has had similar issues/problems with their vehicle, or does anyone that works for a Toyota dealer has had similar complaints from other customers? Could the problem with acceleration during braking be also related to transmission down/up shift problems? Since the problem with brake malfunctioning and engine acceleration is very infrequent, when I took the car to the dealer they could not find anything wrong. Before I take any other steps in resolving the issue I would like to take this issue to the community at large to hear some feedback. Any general comments on the 2011 Camry transmission quality/functioning will also be appreciated. Thank you very much for your help.
